Powertrain Options

The Accord’s base engine is a 1.5-liter turbo-four that puts out 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. Power goes through a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and front-wheel drive is standard. A hybrid powertrain is available for eco-conscious drivers. It pairs a 2.0-liter engine with Honda’s two-motor system to push out 204 horsepower combined.

Seating and Comfort

The Accord has a roomy interior, as expected of a family sedan. It’s even more spacious than some small SUVs, with 42.3 inches of front legroom and 40.8 inches of rear legroom. It has standard cloth seats, with an option of leather-trimmed seats in most of the hybrid trims.

Higher trims add a few extra niceties like heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 10-way power driver’s seat, and a power sunroof. Heated rear outboard seats and ventilated front seats are reserved for the Touring Hybrid trim. For storage, you get 16.7 cubic feet of trunk space, which is plenty for a small family.

Smart Technology

The gas-only Accords come with a 7-inch color touchscreen display, while the hybrids upgrade to a 12.3-inch screen. Both displays allow you to sync your smartphone using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. However, the smaller screen requires a USB cable, while the larger one is enabled for wireless integration. There’s a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot that keeps the entire crew connected on the go.

Google built-in, Alexa built-in, and HD Radio are all optional in some trims. A four-speaker sound system comes standard, and an eight-speaker one is available. The Touring Hybrid trim gets an exclusive Bose sound system with 12 speakers. Three USB ports are provided to charge your devices, and a wireless charger is available.
