Lots of Comfort for Passengers

Most trims of the Pilot can fit eight passengers comfortably, while some seat seven instead. Heated front-row seats are standard, adding extra comfort to the vehicle. The spaciousness also contributes to the cabin’s comfort. It has 41, 40.8, and 32.5 inches of headroom in the front, middle, and rear respectively.

The front and middle rows have just over 40 inches of headroom, while the rear row has 39.3 inches of it. The second and middle rows are the roomiest, with over 60 inches of shoulder room and almost 60 inches of hip room. The third row has 44.6 inches of hip room and 59.5 inches of shoulder room, so there’s still plenty of space for each passenger to enjoy.

Ample Room for Cargo

The Pilot’s cabin can easily accommodate a whole lot of cargo. You can fit 18.6 to 21.8 cubic feet of cargo in the regular cargo area, 48.5 to 59.5 cubic feet of it behind the second row, and 87 to 111.8 cubic feet of cargo with both the second and third rows folded down.

The seats are highly configurable, letting you travel with different numbers of passengers as well as extra cargo. The outboard second-row seats can be folded flat with a single touch, and the Touring and Elite trims allow you to remove the middle seat of the second row and store it under the floor. The third row folds flat and can also be folded in a 60/40 split configuration.

Transporting More with Towing

The Pilot has a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds on AWD trims. The 2WD trims can tow up to 3,500 pounds. These capacities are exactly what you should expect from a car in this class. The Pilot can reach these towing capacities as long as it’s properly equipped, so make sure you talk to your dealer about your towing needs.

Adventures on the Trails

The Pilot’s TrailSport trim is designed for mastering off-road adventures. All the trims have multiple drive modes, but the TrailSport has one specifically for driving on the trails and in the sand in addition to its Normal, ECON, Snow, Tow, and Sport modes. The TrailSport has an inch more ground clearance than the others, steel skid plates on the underbody for protection, trail torque logic, and several recovery points that can help you out of sticky situations.
